Burch Construction Co. was founded in 1978 by Bill Burch after he retired from the United States Navy. The company started out as a general contractor performing projects for the Navy primarily in the San Diego area, due to the abundance of Naval bases. Bill’s son Mitchell came to work for him to learn the business and soon began taking over the operations of the company. Nancy, Mitch’s wife, came to work in the office soon after, becoming an integral part of the daily operation as well.
In 1982 Burch Construction Co. was incorporated, adding the INC. at the end of the company name. Discovering what its core strengths were, the company switched to specializing in metal studs, drywall, acoustical ceilings, then branching into sprayed applied fireproofing, lath and plaster, and insulated metal wall panels. By finding our niche, Burch Construction Co., Inc. has become one of the most highly qualified subcontractors in the industry.
